WEST HARBOUR RUGBY UNION

LOOKING AHEAD TO 2018

2017 was an extremely promising rebuilding year for West arbour Rugby Union Football Club, with a new coaching staff and promising performance across all the grades, especially our 1st XV. After a blistering finish to season 2017 for 1st Grade, which saw them win 7 in a row, we narrowly missed out on deserved spot in the semi-finals, much to relief of several of the frontrunners, whom we’d accounted for in that 7 game stretch.

Looking forward to the coming season, we have been fortunate to retain the services of Todd Louden, as Head Coach and Director of Rugby Operations, whose hard work and dedication was the catalyst for the positive changes the club experienced over the last 12 months. Todd and his coaching staff are aiming to capitalise on the momentum from the back half of 2017 and start the new season with the same intensity in which the last finished, not just in 1st Grade but across the Club, both Grade and Colts (u21’s).

The off-season program started in the lead up to New Year, and the Club is now diving in to the strenuous Pre-season training schedule, with lots of hard-work in front of the men and women that make up the diverse playing group, all striving for success and to achieve results beyond all expectations.

With the strong growth in player numbers and the fine ensemble of coaches and support staff to steer them, 2018 is set to be a breakout year for West Harbour, and one not to be missed.

From everyone at West Harbour Rugby Football Club, we thank Club Burwood for their ongoing support and look forward to entertaining as many Club Burwood Members as we can throughout the year, and hopefully gain them as WHRUFC members too https://westharbourrugby.com.au/joinclub/

Throughout the season the club will be hosting a number of “Super Saturdays” where all teams, Grade and Colts, will be playing at the same venue throughout the day, creating an exciting atmosphere with lots of excellent Rugby to be enjoyed.
